can't decide between P5020 and X31

I am about to buy a laptop and have it narrowed down to two models, the Fujistu P5020D and the IBM X31. There are pros and cons for both.

P5020D
Pro:
-small(less than 4 lbs)
-has built-in DVD/CD-RW
-built-in wireless G standard(I have a 802.11G router)
-built-in CF reader(have a digicam with CF)
-price is decent
-Widescreen
-Better battery life

Cons:
-small screen
-small keyboard


X31
Pros:
-Faster
-Bigger screen(Biggest factor)
-Bigger keyboard(Second biggest factor)

Cons:
-No optical drive
-More Expensive
-Only wireless B standard


They both are excellent laptops but the cons of both have me in a standoff. Although looking back at my list the fujistu does seem to be winning. Does anyone have any experience with either one and want to share?
 
What are your primary uses for a laptop? Also, how much of a price difference is there between those 2 models?
 
I just graduated from college and am working now. I have computers at both places so this would just be a supplement. I guess general stuff and some network troubleshooting, coding, and some digicam stuff.
