Can someone help me fix my Windows network

Hi, so no computer (all windows) in my house can connect to my shared folders on my PC. My ipad and iphone connect fine but no windows computers seem to be able to.

When I try to connect to it from my laptop it says network path not found.

Any ideas? This is really annoying having to tranfer everything on USB drives.

I mainly want my pc and laptop to be able to connect to each other. Both are Windows 8.1.
 
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings

Make sure network discovery is on.
Make sure file and printer sharing is on.
Make sure the two machines aren't on separate homegroups.

Or on different workgroups.

You can also disable password protected sharing and see if that fixes it.
 
Iphone and iPad are of course wireless and the other PCs I'm guessing are a mix or all wired so my first question would be - have you verified all devices are on the same network or is the ipad/iphone/main pc connected straight to the modem and the other devices behind another router or visa versa? If they are all on one network, what is the os of the shared folder pc?
