Basically I don't want anyone with a different MAC address from my own, to be able to use the router. I am kind of confused with the filters etc. that are available. It seems like you could use those filters to block certain MAC's but not to restrict access to the router from only 1 MAC that you enter.
I've already disabled SSID and am using 128-bit WEP encryption.
The router is a Linksys Wireless Access Point router w/4 port switch, model #: BEFW11S4 V3.
The information that is on the Linksys website doesn't pertain to my model and I can't seem to even find my model on there. They are concentrating on the V4 which seems to be slightly different from mine.
This is all I found on the linksys site. http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=33&scid=35&prid=544
It doesn't even look like mine, mine has indicators for W/lan act, wan Link, (power, link/act, Full/col, 100,) for all 4 wired ports, and then for Wan, link, act, diag.
Anyhow i've been kind of wanting to try this for a while but I havn't been able to really understand how to configure that.
