Long story short, my boss last year wanted that Samsung Windows phone. Yesterday he informed me he is done with Windows phone and had me swap it out for an Iphone 6.

So now sitting in my pile of spare phones (I work in I.T.) I have this Samsung Windows 8 phone that is basically a Samsung S4 hardware wise. Is there anyway I can install a custom ROM or something to get rid of Windows on it and replace it with Android? I have been googling this but haven't found any info yet so I figured I would ask here. Thank you.

Nope.

Wish I could elaborate, but no. I was interested to see when the One M8 WP came out if there was any way to port WP to my Android M8 (that's literally identical in hardware), but something about a signed bootloader/firmware make it near impossible to break into and it's the same story with all other WP devices.

So even if you flash all of the same bootloaders and firmware it still wouldn't work?

maybe the keys are different?

anyways, android boot process:roughly PBL->SBL->aboot->bootloader

I found this when searching on google. It seems that you do be able to install android on some windows phones.

Uhh, that's not Android. That's a Windows Phone application that tries to (and not actually) emulate Android. That's like using some Flash-based OS emulator in your browser and saying you have it installed on your computer/phone.
