So, I need a place to easily download viruses and spyware to infect my own computer. It's for personal use, and not to harm anyones computer. The reason for me doing this is to talk some people about virus removal and why to surf the internet safely. Thanks.

Just go look at porn for a few hours. Sooner or later you're bound to be infected :D

Also, disable your firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware and pretty much just about any item that can potentially stop or slow an infection. But make sure that your PC is isolated from any other PC on the network. If you want 100% guarantee that the other PCs won't be infected, physically disconnect those PCs from the router/modem/switch and don't attach any external hard drive or flash drive into the infected PC.

Man, I'm reminded of that XKCD comic where the guy sets up a whole bunch of infected virtual machines for fun....

EDIT: Found the comic!:

Oh and also use Limewire and Kazaa (not the Lite edition) for extra infection fun.

Haha, love XKCD.

I heard if you directly hook an unpatched version of Windows XP up the internet, not behind a firewall, that it would be infected in under a minute with some sort of malware. No source for that claim, just overheard it in conversation at work.

lol, Install Limewire and download just about anything.;)
If you really want something nasty try antivirus XP 2008.

Our forums over at SG (as well as many others) were spammed quite a bit last week with a porn site that had some recent vundo/ZLob trojan version....I'll PM you that address if you'd like.

You could always take the "download a 'game' or 'DVD' off of bittorrent, which would usually be gigabytes in size but is actually several hundred kilobytes and has a .exe, .vbs, .com, or .bat on the filename" approach. :D

I'd start with gay pr0n sites. Just google it and click on any link you see, the more garbage it has, the more infected you will be.

+ Warez sites, just Google keygen and try first 5 links. Virus guaranteed.

You sir, have wonderful ideas and I would subscribe to your newsletter. rofl

lol don't have time to write one lawlz

just a fyi if you don't know what your doing, or your computer isn't really secure don't mess with these guys.. they do some nasty ish. but you can get just about anything there.

Id go with the "warez/cracks/keygen" websites, and download those things.

This is almost entirely not true.

It can be. A few weeks ago we had taken a machine and reloaded it in our lab with whatever scrum SP1a disc that was with it (no idea why that one was used with plenty of SP2/SP3 fully updated CDs around). After logging in for the first time, the guy who was working on it walked away for a few minutes. By the time he came back, there was a nice popup of Antivirus 2009 waiting. I can't guarantee that he had gone anywhere shady, or that his USB key was 100% clean.. but as far as I can remember, this was pretty much untouched.
