Hi guys I'm trying to get rid of this older PC and upgrade to a better one... I am trying to sell it to a friend for $950 , $750 without the monitor.. Is that a fair deal? Below is the list of how much I paid for it 3 yrs ago excluding tax. How much should I be asking for it? I never sold a system before..

TY zepher.. I thought the PC was worth a little more than that.. But Good to know

I wouldn't pay more than $500. The CPU cooler is a little weak, the GPU is very weak, and not enough storage.

It is meh. You can get new prebuilt machine that are better for about $800. That 960 video card is weak for nowadays. I just recently sold a compelet system minus SSD and ps for $800 to a friend. It was a 4770k with a h100i and a 1080. Can't use current new prices on old parts to justify prices. The video card is pretty much useless and should be upgraded. You can get Blu-ray recorders for $30 new. I would sale it for $500 to a friend.

tree fiddy!
my roommate picked up basically that system(no mon) but with a 970, 120 aio and bigger psu for $750CAD from a friend about six months ago. so $500US sounds about right, for a friend, $650 with monitor.

I wouldn't pay any more than $400 for that setup. Newer tech isn't much more $ but much faster.

No friend discount and price per part.

CPU: i7-4790K = $190
HSF: Hyper 212 EVO = $10
MOBO: MAXIUMS VII HERO = $180
RAM: 2x8GB G.Skill = $70
SDD: Samsung 850 Pro 256GB = $80
GPU: GTX 960 = $80
Case: Fractal R5 = $50
ODD: ASUS DVD-/+RW = $5
PSU: Seasonic SS-650KM = $45
Fans: 3x Noctua NF-A14 FLX = $25
Monitor: ASUS MX279H = $100

Total: $835

Price as a "bundle": $700

-----------------------------------------

Price for a "friend", I would do something like around $500 then. $400 without the monitor.

I'm sending you a PM on the mobo.
