Call of Duty: WWII

I wish I could play this never play on the weekends though I played the Destiny 2 beta though :p
I will admit I didn't care for the BLOPS 3 beta but when I got the actual game it was good because of the variation of the maps was fun.

2 years? It hasn't even been out for 2 years. The PC community dropped off significantly after a couple months.

He's probably talking about Black Ops 3. To re-download the game on steam you have to download all of the DLC content with it so i could see it being 80 GB. We got off on a side tangent about Black Ops 3.
 
The beta is live now. There was already somebody with a rank of 7 on the server. It took about 15 minutes to unpack and install to my hard drive. The net-code looks good so far.

Imo the guns or something feel too big and ion your face, even at 90 fov the fov seems pretty tight to me.
 
How is the soundwhoring? On console it was awful, i.e. zero footstep sound at all.
 
Yeah, I preloaded this yesterday so i would be ready to play today. almost time:D
 
I would like to hear some feedback from some of you guys playing. As someone who played BF1 until he was blue in the face and had to give it a rest, how does this game feel any different or any way better than what Battlefield had to offer?
 
Call of Duty has smaller maps with less players. You tend to see the guy shooting at you and usually the first one to fire wins. Sometimes a quick duck for cover or sidestep can save you. As you get more experienced you can figure out which gun and load out is best for the map or game type, to gain a big range time to kill advantage.
It tends to be a faster paced game since there is always an opponent close to you.

So far the beta seems good. If I started shooting first I won the gun fight.
 
It's ok and it has that classic COD feel. The guns do seem way too big and sound whoring is absolutely still there. The grenade physics are also a bit off I feel. BF1 is still far superior (and BF4 for that matter) in terms of overall quality, gun handling, sound design.
 
Anyone else having issues with lobbies crashing? I tried to log into a game for 30 minutes and every time the lobby crashed and I got booted out.

Almost done downloading on PC!


Took part in the beta test on my PS4 Pro and it was brilliant. Brought back that old COD feel. I loved it. Sick and tired of that bullshit jetpacking/wallrunning garbage. This is really fun.
 
initial impressions after about an hour of playing: BF1 is better in every way.

still having fun with the game though. it has a slight COD:WaW vibe to it, which is nostalgic for me. has anyone been able to get SLI working?
 
Wow now the reviews are mostly negative on steam what a bunch of sore jerks with bad pcs optimization one of the main complaints no wonder they didn't want a beta on PC.
 
Drivers fixed my issues, runs fine. Only thing I'm not liking is the 3 maps I played, not open enough... Treyarch always puts out the better COD games IMO, I will play some more this weekend and see if it grows on me.

the problem these days is that "beta" isn't really beta anymore with companies like microsoft, EA, activision.. it's usually just the finalized game but they use it to test product demand to determine potential sales.. i think that's what really hurts companies when they actually want to beta test something before release.
 
Worst. Maps. Ever.

They should have called this CoD: WWIICSGO. Hell, that wouldn't even work since the maps in CS GO are three times as big as these.

Fov sucks too. No ping numbers? Lol. No server browser? Nice.

I dominated in the hour I played, and I don't even like COD nor have I played any for years. Just ran around the map like a madman and destroyed everyone with the Garand and Greasegun.

Maps are terrible. I hope they purposely included just the small maps or something. Ill buy this for the single player after it discounts. The multiplayer can suck a chode though.

(iv) the same shitty spawning system from the last 20 CoD games
(v) lag
(vi) graphical ping counter

Dude just stop making excuses, accept that in 3 months time you are going to be moaning again about having paid for the season pass and not having anyone to play with online because the game died in the arse 4 weeks after release.
 
No dedicated servers = nope. Fuck off already. COD 1, 2 and 4 were the only ones I played much. I played COD 2 the longest bc of MODS and dedicated servers. Hint hint dummies.

Black Ops 3 has dedicated servers, mods and over 1000 custom maps. It's daily peak player count is still averaging 5000. Unfortunately most people are using matchmaking to prestige and get supply drops.
 
Been playing the beta today, same old cod with a new(old) skin. SMG for the win 90% of the time with a shotty for the rest. Better then any resent cod but won't be purchasing.

It didn't even occur to me that they idiotically would have omitted dedicated servers, but I have ignored CoD for the last several years and forgotten that they dogmatically cling to regressive P2P connectivity. Explains the rampant lag, and a good way to guarantee that your game flops.
 
It's just so ingrained in the pc gaming zeitgeist that every new CoD is the same shit that even when I played (first time playing CoD online ever) I had a sense if it being the same shit again. I'll stick with BF1.

Neither do the people who buy their games. (No offense.) Disappointing but we all knew what was coming. The COD franchise has been dead since after COD4 MW.

It only took less then 2 months for the original cod 4 to over take the remaster in player numbers on pc because it lacked a server browser/hosting. They will never learn.
