Call of Duty 2 Zooming Lag

Hey, I play a lot of CoD2 Multiplayer, and when I'm a sniper and I zoom, it really lags the FPS thus giving me a hard time to aim. Is there any way to tweak that to make it super smooth? I'm playing on DirectX 7 mode @ 1280x1024.

You could always reduce other graphic options then.

if u have ati, use omega drivers and turn the AI on to LOW

Ok. I am using Omega 5.4s as Omega 6.1/ATI 6.2s do not focus on Radeon 9500s.

Set rendering mode perference to Direct X 7....that added like 30 fps to me....you don't notice the difference because you get so pulled into the game because it runs so smooth...

off the 9500 that doesn't suprise me, believe it or not, I run mine at 1024x768. my cpu or somethign couldn't handle it...I don't get it...but in MP it lagged...
