Starting this morning...every computer in the house displays,

"While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.google.com/

The following error was encountered:

Unable to determine IP address from host name for www.google.com

The dnsserver returned:

Server Failure: The name server was unable to process this query.

This means that:

The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.
Check if the address is correct."

I haven't touched a thing...is just kinda happened this morning. If we go around the proxy and through the router it works just fine. But I want to keep my proxy server. How do I fix it?

I tried...so I'm in the process of updating to 3.0 (up from 2.6). We'll see if that fixes it. It's weird, the vistahomeprem upstairs can view google today but couldn't yesterday. All the other machines (3 running the above and 1 xppro) still can't view google. So I'm scratching my head.

Sweet! The update worked. I also modified a client acl to include just my ip/subnet class. Thanks anyways.
