Austrian based C Seed has released the cleverly named "C SEED 262", the worlds largest 4k TV. Weighing in at 1,763lbs and sporting an integrated media server, ten speakers, and a custom motorized fabric cover to hide the screen; the 262 will set you back $539,000, with an extra $38,500 for installation. While there is no direct mention, there are hints in the specs that point to it supporting HDR and 16-bit video.

And here I was sitting here thinking my 73" was impressive. I wouldn't even know where to put something 19 feet wide, but I suppose of you have that kind of money, you probably have that kind of wall as well. Also noted, the maximum power consumption is listed as 11,400 watts, and typical of 2,850 watts. Not to mention I don't even know if a concrete block wall is rated to hang that much weight. Pure insanity.

C SEED changes this game, introducing the 262, an enormous 6144 mm by 2574 mm 4k LED TV display with black LED technology for higher contrast, latest UHD technology for a really dynamic picture and a color spectrum far beyond conventional TVs, and ultra-high 800 nits brightness for the perfect viewing experience even in bright daylight conditions.

Do I look like Tony Stark? It's going to be quite a while for that size television to be remotely affordable.

Those images are nowhere near the size of the screen unless its a long long way from the nearest seat.
To get the true perspective it is 6m wide by 2.5m tall without its base, imagine standing next to it.
Pictures = wrong.

I'll wait 5 years and pick up one free with 4 litres of engine oil.

Freaking huge , my screen is 11 foot 6 inches wide in 2.35:1 ratio. I'm good with that lol takes up the 12 foot wall in my theater. This would look good I bet being able to make it's own light. But damn up to 11k watts of power lol that's crazyness. Would need it's own 220 line on it's own breaker. Hell probably 2 of them. Guess if you can spend that kind of money on this who cares about a power bill.

Right after you buy it they come out with an OLED model. Doh!
Hehe, you are gonna be shafted many ways getting one of these.
You gotta bite and not look back.
I'll put up with my projector thanks :)

I bet it comes with out the door warranty.

That price isn't really as high as I thought it would be. Definitely out of reach, but I would have figured a million or so.

I just want a 120" 4K HDR TV. There are some nice incoming 4K projectors coming out soon, so I'll just buy a larger screen (probably 135") and go with that. May not be as bright or have the best HDR (Dell has a new laser based 4K projector for $6K). But, it's great for movies and games. I'm at 106" right now, and don't want to go larger until I upgrade to 4K. I WANT 4K & HDR, so I might get a smaller one for the bedroom.

Almost exactly my situ.

#firstworldproblems ;)

I'm always confused on massive TV screens like this when IMAX, for example, offers badass home theater rigs in this price range.

TY!

In a story that suddenly makes me feel older than dirt....had a friend who bought a 60" plasma back in the day when they still weighed a million pounds, 2005 maybe? We were over for a party and I'm assuming the bass+people in the house vibrations caused the whole thing to rip a 6 foot chunk of plaster and lath boards out of the wall. (it was and ghetto college district house). The TV actually survived, mostly. A guy watching beer pong next to half caught it and messed up a finger pretty bad when it hit the ground on top of it. He was a the hero we needed then.

It's like 3D. For some, it was a must have. For others, it was nice to have. Others didn't want it at all. IMAX is great, but some just want the standard display for whatever reason.

I haven't looked into home IMAX. That's pretty cool. But, how much media is available for it?

Oh heck I dunno, I'm still slumming around with a 55" 1080p....but here is where my dreams lie...

Yeah I remember being at a tech show about 11 years ago where they had a 50" 1080p screen...for £50000!

Needs to be higher resolution. That's over a millimeter square per pixel.

8K+ or bust!

So at 120V you'd need at least a 100A breaker/ line for that....it's probably going to be a double pole/ 230V...so add in 20% safety margin and you still need a 60A. Wow.

Still, I'd watch porn on that.

Not big enough.

I want a TV big enough for people in the ISS to watch through my windows.

for that kinda money I'd bee looking at getting one of the Dolby Vision laser projection setups.

They might cost more than a half million but if you are going to go big why not go all the way?

Still not thinking grand enough. I want one that extraterrestrials far far away will be able to see. I'll have to be careful with placement so as not to block out the sun from reaching Earth. The first thing I'll display on the TV is simply "Send Nudes."

Ah, you be after the SLED pixel Stars.
True galaxy wide transmission.

And, the first thing you'll receive is 4k HDR dick pics. :(

Hope the thing is water-proof, 'cause the main advantage of this over a projector seems to be the brighter picture for outdoor use. I could see these being installed in sporting venues etc.

At that size, they really should have gone 8k.
You cant sit 3 inches from this one :p
I will sit as close as I want.

Actually I don't think the wall mount is a horrible as you guys think. you are going to be statically mounting something like this not putting it on an arm that reaches out and moves around. So you are looking at a mount that is probably about the size of the tv itself. Going through the math in my head for what "could" be used for a mount. Size of the TV is about 20.1 ft by 8.4 feet. shrink that down some and you have 20 x 8. 20ft is 240 inches which looking at 16 ft spacing for studs that is 15 studs that you would hit. Remove the ends as that is 16" centered so you wouldn't be able to really hit that dead center and have the bolt be going through any type of frame, so you are at 13 stud to anchor into. Looking at 8 feet of space you could space the anchors 18 inches apart that gives you 4 points. So you are looking more at something along the lines of the wall needing to support the weight over 160 square feet at maybe 52 points. So each anchor is only supporting the weight of about 3 square feet (or 33.9lb) of the TV in that case. Of course all of this is making assumptions on my part, however the point is that with a TV that size you are going to have a good amount of possible space to anchor it so that you aren't going to be expecting 4 bolts or a single stud to hold all the weight but would be able to spread it out to be the closer to being the same as any other TV that a normal person would be mounting.

That is pretty small for a sporting venue. This would only be good for a nice in home theater or a conference room. AT&T stadium has 175 foot wide screen. The scoreboard at one basket ball stadium I found are 15x28 foot displays, so just under 1.5 times the size of this one.

My guess the advantage of this over a projector for somebody with money would be a more professional look, easier to use a tv and also less noise.
