So, I'm a Canadian, I'm turning 17 in less than two weeks, and March Break is early this year. Now, during the break, my friends want me to get Call of Duty 4 so that we can all go and play it online, and it was something I eventually wanted to get anyway. Only problem is, I'm not 17 yet and in Canada, the stores do check for age. My parents don't get involved in these things anymore, as this is my own money and my own decision to buy it.
Now, the only reason I'm asking here today if I can buy an M game so close to my 17th birthday? Does 13 days really matter? If I can't, then I'll accept it and wait until the end of March break, but that means that I'll miss out on a week of gaming and no work. My friends got it by making a scene at the store where they bought the game, but I can't and don't want to do that. If I can, great. I'm reasonably mature and respectful.
Thanks in advance for all replies.
EDIT:
I am from Toronto, Ontario, and I have already bought the game.
