Hey folks. I'm trying to help out someone who broke the power connector to her a65 notebook. The pin that extends from the MB (inside that little well where the connector fits) is completely snapped off and currently residing in the power supply's connector tip. Her warranty *just* ran out before it happened, and I feel bad that it seems there isn't an easy solution to this problem. I'm also not sure if soldering it back on would hinder the voltages too much, looks like the connector itself is copper/copper-colored. Any ideas? The notebook is othewise fine & functional, though probably not worth in its entirety the cost of replacing the motherboard.
Thanks in advance

if you have some soldering skills, it shouldnt be a problem to just replace it. however, if something goes wrong, do you want to be responsible for replacing the mobo?
