I use my controller on PC quite a bit, but never ever for FPS. It works great for platformers and beat em ups, but everything else can be interfaced with more efficiently with a kb/m.

I will never understand how someone can enjoy playing gimped on a controller. Takes so much longer to turn around and precisely aim and they make hit boxes larger in a lot of these games to compensate for it. It's like playing the dumbed down version of what the game is supposed to be. Cool.
I'd like to see the day when PC gamers can play against console gamers. Let the battle begin, and let the best input device win. My bet is on keyboard and mouse.
PC Gamer already tested this somewhat informally with the original Halo on PC. Identical PCs, some with 360 controllers and some with mouse-and-keyboards.
The mouse and keyboard people won, 6:1 kill ratio.
It evened up a bit when the map was set to all rocket launchers (3:1).
The problem is we don't know what he meant, because he comes off as super smarmy about a bunch of other terrible things most of us don't like, so he very well could've been talking about m/kb too.
K/M will always win. I swear a game was in development to be cross-platform. They cancelled the cross-platform feature due to it being too un-balanced for gamepad players. Or in other words, they were getting their ass beat in beta play testing and it wasn't "fun" enough.
The issue is/was never which is better, the issue is what people think is more enjoyable and relaxing.
If all players have to use a gamepad (as in general on console) then what does it matter how much you can pwn with your keyboard. The playing field is level.
Keyboard, desk, chair, and mouse just isn't appealling for the VAST majority of gamers. Halo did change that.

People wonder why PC gaming is dying. It's because of people like this that are so out of touch with gamers. I remember when game developers got into gaming because they were gamers themselves not because it was big money...
I bet Bungie's monitors have windshield wipers built on them. You know to wipe the shit off the screen from when they open their dick holsters.
I'm not sure if you guys realize this or not but nobody wants to play FPS games with a mouse and keyboard anymore. You might as well just sell your PC.
I literally will not play a FPS WITHOUT a keyboard and mouse. No controller for me. If FPS went all controller, I would no longer play them.
Pc gaming dying?
