I'm finally taking the plunge in building a NAS and setting up a home lab. I've been toying with the idea for a long time.
Since I'm limited on space, my better half has asked if I can downsize my desktop PC (it is rather gigantic in an ATCS 840 case).
The low power of the Avoton series has been very intriguing to me since my NAS will always be on and running.

- I also have a LACK table that I can use.

- Two 2TB Samsung HDDs
- One 500GB Seagate

- 6x 4TB = ~16TB total storage
- Run from USB stick
- iSCSI storage for VMs

- Worth it to re-purpose the 2500k/Mobo of my current desktop? Built in 2011 and motherboard only has one LAN
