Build Parts... Which Way To Go On Video Card? 780?

So, I am looking to do a build with the parts as listed below, however I am looking to trade off a couple PS4's that I have left over. Someone has offered me a GTX690, and another the 780 ACX... Which one of these cards would you recommend? I know the 690 is more powerful, but I might like the fact that the 780 ACX is newer... Thoughts on that?

What resolution will you be playing at? 690 is pretty much a bad idea at this point unless you can get one super cheap.

That power supply is super metric overkill. Get the 660W or 760W version, whichever is on sale. 860W if doing 780 SLI.
 
Yeah, forgot to edit that to the 860w PSU...

I am hoping to go for a 1440p monitor, or maybe (2) - obviously only (1) for gaming..

780 Classy is a good choice. You've got room for a 2nd card with that setup as well, and the possibility of step-up w/eVGA if Maxwell comes out in the next 3 months.

Yeah, I basically only play BF4, so I really am finding it hard to justify dropping $1k or more on graphics, just to play that game... ;c)
However, I did want to leave it open for going SLI down the line...
What would you put the value on for a used 780 Classy? I checked pricing on Ebay (used) and it appears that a PS4 is of equal (retail) value for a used 780. Now the question is if I can sell the PS4 for over retail, and make out a bit on the deal.. ;c)
 
I am now gaming on ASUS 1440p with the 780SC ACX and love it. Thing overclocks like a beast.

I would take it over the 690.

Sounds like I need to pull the trigger on the trade... Which ram should I go with? I was looking at either G Skill or Corsair - I have someone offering me an i7-4770k with 8gb (2x4gb) corsair 1866mHz - but I need to find the latency on it, right? Plus, I think that a new PS4 is worth more than a used 4770k, and the corsair...
 
I am currently using a EVGA GTX 780 FTW in my current PC. I am using a Dell U3011 (2560X1600) and I play BF4 and it does a great job. I was running two (SLI) of them (780 FTW) and the top card would get in the mid 80's for temperature while the lower card would run in the mid 60's. This is with the fans on the video cards running at 100%. Even though EVGA told me the temp was fine in the 80's as long as it did not go into the 90's. Long story short I took the second 780 FTW back to Fry's. I did get a chance to try a 780ti SC w/ACX and I am planning on getting one of those cards. I was getting 10+ fps more over the 780 FTW and the temp was 10 degrees cooler under a full load. I would consider the 780ti.

As far as the classy, a PS4 retail ($400)is not near the same price to most classy sellers. The lowest I've seen a used 780 classy to for is $475. The next lowest price I've seen is $490. The reason I've been searching is because I'm thinking about pricing one of my 780 classys for sale as well.

The guy who sold for $475 was selling x4 cards, and I think he had them I since released so he warranty was shorter. Anyway, that is all.

Now if you are talking about reference 780s, then yes. The reference 780 used may be negotiated down to $400ish price.

The card you found is after rebate, it is a great deal. I bought one of mine new at the end of November for 549. The other one I have I bought 3 weeks used ,sometime early November I think, for a good price as well.

The card is a beast for bf4 as well!

Definitely go with the EVGA GTX 780 Classified. Best 780 on the market and will max out any game right now at a 1080p resolution with no problem.

Someone offered me a Titan with the ACX cooler on it, and EVGA coverage until 2018.. I'm wondering if that would be more attractive of an offer than the 780 classy?
I know the 780 performs better, but I'm thinking the warranty, and value of trade makes the Titan 'better of a deal' for me?

Thoughts on that?
 
If he sends you the original cooler or reinstals it if RMAd and it's around $600-$650 yes. @$700 don't do it. Imma take a wild guess and say he is asking $750. Just my two cents. I had sli titans, I now have sli classys.

Considering I know of no one who keeps a video card for 4-5 years, the warranty extension is useless. The 780 is a better performer in games, I would stick with it.

I also turned down a "deal" on a titan for 625, for my 780 sc acx. Couldn't be happier
 
Thanks for all the insights, very valid points brought by all.. I really want to do a custom loop- probably for all the wrong reasons (bling, and brag), but it's something I've wanted to do ever since I discovered it way back when.. My 3930k is capable of 5.1 ghz, so I'd like to tinker with that as well.
Also, the Titan was oc'd about 15%, so that to me, if I keep it, is worth hosing down.. Unless I just do the trade and eBay the card.. ;c)
