Yup, I got it all covered. The friend that I am building this to is person who first introduced me to customizing PC's. I owe him alot. I decided to stop playing on my school's football team b/c I love to customize PC's alot! BTW I am quite wealthy so I do a home gym at home so it doesnt look like I'll get flappy building PC's! And yes ALL my friends get deluxe treatments! Also I am going to buy him Vista Ultimate! ;) ;) :D

i dont think 350w is sufficient for that system

The PSU FOR the case is going to be 600watt. I am NOT going to use the one that was IN the case.

Nobody has any suggestions?

Yes, I have a couple... Ditch that case. I understand that you or your friend may like it, but those classy parts need a classy case and that one is NOT it.

May I suggest this . It is 100x classier SFF case than that Athenatech and it comes in silver AND there's a version with a window.

Next, lose that keyboard and mouse combo. Once again FORM and function is paramount. And this is a much better choice for said reasons. I just completed a build with one and its superb. And a nice price.

Change those 2 things and add a quality PSU and your in business.

QFT!

Revised. Gonna buy the Keyboard that Dark Prodigy recommended, and a Corsair 620watt PSU. Gonna keep the same mouse though.

And BTW the whole thing with the X360 and HD-DVD add on is $3721.69
plus I got him a Westy 37" for Christmas! Sorry I want to brag! PLEASE FORGIVE ME! *shrug*

Good move on the keyboard, the mouse that comes with it isn't bad either. That case should be next. I don't particularly like the layout of the quoted mobo. Especially the placement of the IDE connection. Whatever microATX board you go with, I would recommend one that supports Core 2 Duo.

Not gonna be using IDE at all. Sata straight through! :)

I don't think you are building this for a friend, actually I doubt you are even building it.

I can tell by your sig :)
*on topic again*
everything looks good.
You got one lucky friend

you are soooo full of it, I don't believe a thing you say, you go from a $40 case to a $160 case, show us some pictures of your rig that you put in your sig to show you are legit or quit talking about how you are gonna spend $3500 on a "friend" for his b-day. In my experience ppl. with that kind of money to blow don't talk about it, which leads me to believe you are full of it.

Order's have been placed and this thread will be closed. BTW mitcity I just wanted some suggestions, no harm. CYA! ;) :p :D
