Budget Dual-Core Workstation

I had that activation problem after too many rebuilds.

Took about 5 minutes to get through to customer service, was happily installing within 15.

Of course, YMMV.
 
Cool, I'm glad to hear it *can* be resolved quickly. So, they issued you a new product key right? Did you have to do any finnagling to get this out of them?

It's almost a shame to get a new one...now that I have memorized this product key as I have my social security number...along with office serial...
 
I have had to call microsoft too. It sucks but ultimately, it is pretty quick and more painless than you would think.
 
After calling them they did fix it right away. After telling them the first 2 groups of numbers, they gave me an authorization key without any further information. Interestingly, when I typed a wrong number, windows gave me a little popup window telling me so immediately...so I wonder if I could have simply gone through 0-9 for each digit to get the correct code...
 
Update: my MSI board had the same problems, so I bought a Gigabyte board (nF 3) and I STILL have the problems!
