Hi guys, friend needs a budget productivity machine, he has no plans to do gaming. The firm budget is $700-800 but since he doesn't want to do gaming, I'm hoping I can get him the machine for pretty cheap and leave the rest for a nice monitor.

To start off the build, I was thinking of going AMD with this CPU

Also, HDD needs to be 2TB.
Any recommendations? Danny? =p

Thanks for your time!

Yep, price of monitor is within budget.

Thanks for the build Danny, however, the combo deal seems to be expired? Do you still recommend that motherboard?

Damn, that was quick.

I wouldn't recommend that mobo outside of a heavy discount. There are better motherboards for $100.

Same RAM recommendation though:
$80 - G.Skill F3-10600CL9D-4GBNT 2 x 2GB DDR3 1333 RAM

Mobo recommendation:
$75 - MSI 880GM-E41 AMD 880G mATX Motherboard

Why not a pre-built? since he has no special needs, a Dell Deal should suffice. (gotapex.com)

23" ips is best fit your budget

Dell UltraSharp U2311H or NEC MultiSync EA231WMi

both are about $300
