It looks as though lawmakers in the UK have taken steps to "keep us safe in an uncertain world." Hopefully this thing doesn't pass the House of Lords upper house of parliament.

British lawmakers passed on Tuesday a new surveillance law to give security agencies more extensive monitoring capabilities in the digital age after several amendments were added to better protect privacy. Lawmakers voted 444-69 in favor of the Investigatory Powers Bill, which interior minister Theresa May said would help "keep us safe in an uncertain world". The bill will now go to the House of Lords upper house of parliament.

Every time I weep for the USA and other parts of the world someone does something to remind me that we have the kinds of corrupt facists that pass these laws here in the UK too.

Enjoy being "subjects" you wankers.

To enlighten the moron in the room...

The Queen does not make these laws, nor does she pass them. She simply reads to the public what the Government have told her. Her role in all things Government in simply ceremonial.

Special protections for those who make the law, those you defend you in the court of law, and for those you provide you with information. Britain must have decided it is good to be patriotic to pass a bill like this.
