Pretty good deal with the remaster if you want to try it out.

Bought it, Thank you OPPlayed Borderlands 2 and its time to try the first one lol
do it, in my opinion it's the best one of the series. there's a lot that carried over to BL2 but there's also a lot of other dumb things that were added to BL2 that you'll realize made no sense being in the game after playing the first one.
also thanks OP'er. i lost my discs years ago for BL1 and wanted to replay it again.
Originally had it on Xbox 360 and only bought BL2 for PC. Always passed up the sales on it because I hated the Xbox version and didn't want to replay on PC. After playing this remaster I'm glad I bought again!
The stuff that was added to BL2... guess I need to play through this again and do BL2 after because I don't even realize.
There was a reddit thread about some upgrade. If you had BL GOTY in your steam library, there was some some of new texture thing that got pushed on April2. Not sure if this gets you free graphics upgrade or not but it may be worth looking into.
First we have to establish how to run this test. As I understand, the 4K textures replace the "high" textures so I am not sure we can run one and then switch to the default "high" textures without uninstalling the texture pack.Has anyone done benchmarks of the HD texture pack? The GTX 760 was fine with BL1 and even BL2 but recent games laugh at 2 gb of vram and generally require turning textures down a bunch.

my biggest gripe is that they centralized the missions at the beginning in that town, having to go back there constantly and even in the middle of story line missions due to leveling up multiple times where your weapons become completely useless by the time you get to the end of the mission. in BL 1 your reward weapons in the crates as you go through and finish mission bosses progressively get better and better with your levels so you can go off and do what ever missions you want in what ever order you want.
yeah BL1, 2 and pre-qual got the 4k/HD texture pack upgrade which makes a world of difference especially BL1 and 2. can't comment on the pre-qual because i won't play through that one again, didn't like the game compared to the other two. you just need to select it in the store/DLC section and download it. BL2's was 7.9GB, not sure on the size for BL1.
Do these games have an adjustable FoV? What about that vomit inducing head Bob like HL2 did?
there's adjustable FOV, default is 90. you can turn camera shake off or what ever they call it.
