Hey everyone,

I am seriously ready to give up and blow up windows.

So heres the source of my problem... my administrator account got disabled some how??? I originally new the password for the account and everytime i'd try to login it would say "Account has been disabled...blah blah"

So I found this tool for resetting and re-enabling windows accounts:
http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/

First, it doesn't mount the NTFS partition unless its clean, so I had to run recovery console, put in my admin password and run chkdsk, then I booted that tool and i specified the password i wanted my admin password to be reset to... and now it doesn't work! The original password and the new password don't work.

I figured i'd just reboot the tool again and reset it to a blank... but now it won't mount NTFS because it says its unclean... and I can't run chkdsk in windows without admin and I can't run chkdsk in recovery console without admin.

I cannot find a single bootcd with chkdsk. The ultimate boot cd seems to have some "ntfs4dos" tool that supposedly has chkdsk on it, but it won't run, it just goes to a blank screen.

I'm close to reformatting... any other suggestions?

Thanks!
George
