I'll let you know how long the load times are with an SSD installed + Digital Copy, as I just put a 256GB Adata SP900 in my PS4

and just so anybody starts saying "hurr durrr PS4 doesn't have TRIM, ur drive is gonna die in a month lololol", TRIM isn't required for an SSD to stay functional.

Awesome, thanks for offering to report on it!

And yeah there are a lot of misconceptions and oldthink about TRIM that have carried forward from 5 years ago by the uninformed. It's a total nonfactor, especially in a console where the usage pattern isn't sensitive to the utmost throughput in high volumes of small block write I/O, not to mention modern SSD's do their own internal garbage collection and wear leveling and so lack of OS trim support is largely mitigated.

Dudebros you see posting "no TRIM support on PS4 will kill ur drive bro" are really just saying "I have no idea what TRIM is or how it works"

Jesus christ, that sounds like some brutal load time. That's right up there with Destiny load times which are terribad.
 
Waiting to buy a retail copy in 12 hours. This game is gonna be awesome. Reviews are great. I haven't read any details to avoid spoilers, but it should easily crack 90 on metacritic.


Really liking what I hear so far. :cool:

edit: I'm not concerned about load time.

You must have missed the 50 second load times we were talking about 2 pages ago.
Anything is an improvement from that...
 
I would soooo be playing rightnow but having an issue with my ps4 controller.

I haven't played my ps4 in months and my controller has just been sitting on my desk all that time. I went to hit the start button my controller and the console didn't turn on.

So I plugged it up and turned it on and the controller battery was all the way empty and it says the battery is low and I need to charge it, I did this for about 30 minutes and still the controller will only come on for like 3 seconds, then it losses connection again and says the battery needs to be charged.

I plugged it into my usb hub (that's how I normally charge it) and it has an orange light that keeps flashing slowly on/off, does that mean it's charging?

I could have swore that I used to play with it connected to my usb hub (so it stayed charged and never ran out) but ti doesn't even let me use the controller if it' splugged into the pusb hub now, I have to unplug it in order to have it turn on for a second and be able to navigate on my ps4 before it cuts off again.

Also if I added Bloodborne to my "download" queue on the ps store (via pc) it will automatically download right? Since my controller is charging anid I can't use it I want to make sure it's downloading the game at least.

Yes.

And your controller not working while plugged into a usb hub, is that hub connected to a PC by chance? You can charge it that way just fine, but it loses "bind/sync" with your PS4, if you plug it into any other device. You have to plug it back in the PS4 or resync the controller with the PS4 to restore the "bind/sync".
 
well the reviews did it for me...I'm ordering a PS4 from Amazon tomorrow with next day delivery...

read some news on some website today that Bloodborne: Nightmare Edition would be coming to PC in 2015...the site doesn't sound all that reliable but hey you never know

Yes the hub is connected to my pc.

I have been doing it that way since I got my ps4 at launch and never had to "resync' the controller.

In fact i just tried seeing how much it was charged and it's working now, I still have the controller connected via the USB to my USB hub (which is connected to my pc) and it's working on my ps4 still.

The USB hub isn't powered via the pc though, it has a power adapter plugged into the wall outlet, maybe that's why it works? I know many usb hubs are made to draw the power from the USB port it plugs into on the pc, maybe those kind won't allow it work on the ps4 if you plug it in and have to resync it back.
 
Any dark souls vets on here will pick this up quite easily.

So far enjoying it.
 
after about four and half hours and have only gotten to the first boss once, I must say...I'm impressed

I've only had a few seconds to read the manual - how does the "transform" function work exactly?

Also, it seems like healing is mapped to triangle instead of square. Can you change that? After years of using the 360's X button I know I'm going to screw the pooch royally.

No chance of it coming to PC. Sony owns the IP. It's like Demons Souls on PS3, Bloodborne will remain exclusive, guaranteed. But there is a good chance From's next game will be multiplatform. I believe I heard the B team is already working on Dark Souls 3.
And Miyazaki should have time to do another game too.
 
I would cancel my order if it was PC bound sell that PS4 Garbage onboard graphics.

My stupid parents took my car so I can't pick up the game......


Last Night I asked this guy who used to work at Walmart if he was going to pick up Bloodborne.
He told me he's 2,000 dollars and debt and was going to parry my ass if I asked about it again.
Last time I ask a Ex-Walmart worker about Bloodborne or the souls series I mean you gotta be pretty messed up to like the game to begin with.
 
This other guy I work with is a Die Hard souls Fan but he is so messed up I think he takes one shower a month I have him on my PS4 friends list but he speaks broken English so he has a hard time expressing his love for the game.
 
ordered a PS4 from Amazon a few minutes ago...can't believe I actually bought a console for just 1 game (actually 2 since it came with the Last of Us Remastered which I also want to play) :eek: :eek:

will be going to GameStop to pick up Bloodborne later today...
 
Did You get one day shipping too bad a Drone couldn't deliver it to you in 30 minutes.
I noticed the problem with Amazon is Sales tax for big items is killer...


I want to Wear a Call of Duty shirt and my Duke Nukem baseball cap and pick it up but it's too cold outside just to wear a shirt.
 
Be prepared to download a bunch of Update patches once you get it... Might want a PS+ card to for online play.

I bought a 3 month PS+ card from Amazon as well for $17.99...will most likely sell the PS4 after playing Bloodborne like crazy for 1 month so I didn't want to buy the 1 year PS+ subscription...I have a 50 Mbps connection so I'm not worried about downloads

the only thing I'm worried about is getting used to the PS4 controller...I almost never use my Xbox controller for any PC game (even the Dark Souls PC games and any 3rd person game I still much prefer KB/M)...will take some getting used to but hopefully the adjustment won't take too long

I'm debating picking up my first PS4 as well just for this game...I just wish I had more time to play games as it sits...blah.
 
Kinda disappointed they just handed me a Blue Case Copy of the game at the store.
Last time around I got a Deluxe case copy with Metal Tin for Dark Souls II.
 
2.69 gig joke Patch why can't they release smaller patches my god.....

Usually I have my wireless and my PS4 hooked up which isn't the fastest so I switch to Lan just to download the thing....
 
I believe the pre-load actually came with the day 1 patch. Mine was two files. One that was over 5GB and one that was 2.5'ish.

I always prefer to hardwire everything versus wireless...Blu-ray player, my new PS4 etc...just need some long cables to stretch out to where my router is located (wires are hidden behind furniture though)
 
Do any of the starting classes start you with a Weapon? I don't have anything with Military Veteran

You'll get a weapon and gun in about 10 mins. just die your first time or find the hunters dream, cant miss it
