I wasn't sure where to put this thread, so i just decided to put it in the HELP section. But, i keep hearing about a Black Friday, when a TON of really good sales occure, But when exactly IS it, so i can look forward to it too.! :D And who all participates in it? Everybody? Online only? In-Store only? Most comper retailers? Thanks.
 
almost all stores do

its the day after thanksgiving, no idea why its called black friday, but its the day most people start their christmas shopping, it also happens to be a day where GREAT sales are happening :D
 
As the day draws nearer, you will here more and more about the deals.....in the [H]otDeals forum of all places. :p It is the unofficial start of the Christmas shopping season which takes place the Friday after Thanksgiving. It's a combat zone, but the deals are great. It's called Black Friday since it takes many companies out of the 'red' and puts them back in the 'black' accounting wise.

so thats why its called black friday, i always assumed it was called black friday because of the battles that had taken place..

speaking of which, i still suffer from nightmares of last year's black friday :(
 
Also keep an eye on the [H]ot|Deals forum when it approaches Black Friday. People will start posting the deals and whatnot (or provide info). Of course, going out and camping at 4 AM in the morning is up to you. ;)

lol, ok. Thanks, i knew that the day after Thanksgiving was one of the biggest shopping days of the year, but i just didnt know it by the name Black Friday. Thanks. ;)
