sold. its not the full 24inch 1920x1200 I wanted, but its impossible to ignore $280

Newegg reviews show that it has backlight bleeding on top and bottom, its also a TN screen and has poor viewing angles.

There's also a thread here that discusses those blacklight bleed issues. It's very hit-or-miss...it seems you'll get a fairly good panel (some bleed but not very noticeable) or a horrible one, without much in between. Most people who bought one have said it's the one gripe in what would otherwise be a great monitor.

On the bright side, if you buy it locally and have issues, there's less hassle with returns/exchanges.

I'm going to go buy before hand, and use the pricing guarantee to get the difference after the sale. That way I have time to pick thru to get one that doesnt bleed.

I'm more interested in that $300 laptop (!100 if you get vonage)

Still an excellent price on that monitor. If this dell keeps acting up I may jump on it.

The deal is 499-70(instant)-100MR-50MR=279. So you pay 429 up front and hope you get 150$ back from your MR's.

Not to mention that you can get the monitor elsewhere for 379 up front, so try and price match to that and THEN get the MR's on top of it, like, 229 AR's would be pretty damn nice.
