I put 1,000 dollars into Bitcoin when it was worth around a dollar because my brother started talking about it. And then all these articles came out about the dangers of cryptocurrency and how nobody really knows what it is and it's so volatile so I took the money out. Definitely one of my most regrettable choices.

I wouldn't kick yourself. Many people did that, and it's unlikely you wouldn't have sold way earlier than it would have made you rich. I had some mined in a wallet back then insecurely, I have no idea how I stored it and never will .

My only "big regret" is not having mined my 3080 when I got it at sub msrp in December 2020, to pay for my entire pc .
