Bit Torrent crashes my connection

When I run bittorrent for about 30 mins it crashes my internet connection and i have to restart my comp/modem.

The problem is my linksys BEFCMU10 modem. Its something to do with how many connections it makes.

Linksys hasn't put out a fix for it and seems to be ignoring the prob.

I was wondering if any of you know a user made fix for this.

Fiddle with options and cut down the number of connections allowed?

I'm pretending to be hardcore and have a bittorrent client installed that I don't actually use, ABC I think it is, it seems to have options left right and centre.

Yah... there's defintely options for limiting up and downstream connections. If that's your problem... then either check to see if your client lets you do that, or nab a client that does.
