On the Bioware blog, Casey Hudson hinted that a Dragon Age related announcement is coming next month. It could always be another unsubstantial tease, but with Anthem and other major RPGs slated to show up at The Game Awards in December, I would bet on Bioware making a real Dragon Age announcement there. Hudson also reasserted that Bioware is still making plans for the Mass Effect franchise, and gave a little insight into Anthem's development.

If you've been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we're also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we're excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won't tell you where to look...)

I liked Dragon Age Inquisition, it was repetitive if you tried to go for completion, but I liked it overall.

However I expect Bioware will turn the Dragon Age 4 (whatever name) into a shitty coop/multi player pay to play shit fest.

DA:I was really good. I wish they enhanced the combat a bit. But the story, setting and soundscore was fantastic.

I'm hoping they go all out again in the next installment.

Overall I really liked DA:I but not optimistic about more of where that came from since this is essentially coming from EA.

If they observed Blizzard, you'd think they would be smart enough not hype a mobile game like that.
Doubt they pay any mind to what fans want. They going to make bank going after the mobile market. Cause don't everyone have phones?

I'm sure these guys are happy that all the heat youtube nerd rage has been taken away from Anthem and thrown to Fallout 76.

As for DA - I wish they would go back to DA: Origins (or whatever part 1 was called) vs the consolized DA 2 or (the slightly improved) DA:I 3

Smartphone, always online, no NPCs, with a vinyl bag to hold a canvas bag of 'dragon aged' poop (actually just dog poop that's been put in a kiln). Also, no loot.

I really hope they push the Graphic limitations on this one I have about 10 hours in Inquistion it's ok but I couldn't get into Dragon Age Origins just bad graphics and cramped maps.

Man. I, too, remember getting excited for a Bioware announcement. And then Bioware fell to the necromongers.

if they will not release the game so i can buy it via steam.. then no sale for me

SWTOR didn't turn out nearly as well as they thought it would... I don't see Bioware doing another MMO (or any major AAA studio for that matter, the genre is mostly dead, to my personal dismay). EA also has Anthem due out ~soon~. That isn't an MMO or high fantasy title either, but it's a Bioware AAA multiplayer title.

Seems EA already did, or at least attempted to do a mobile tie in.

I liked DAO and DAI. DA2 was a disappointment, but DAI came back strong following that. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I just wanted a sequel to Dragon Age: Origins where Morrigan and I could continue our romance.

Not this Hawke and Inquisitor crap.

She was a saucy minx.

Can we get a time machine and have the da:eek: team develop it?

I played da 2 until the end it was ok. Inquisition I never got past tg he first town. So boring

I’m not interested in the products of any EA affiliated studio.
I'm pretty over anything EA too. very cliche, too many bugs and not enough actual content at launch. Too many AAA studios have a policy of releasing alpha or early access games as finished products.

Which is unfortunate as I loved origins, DA-2 felt very unfished event thought the story was above average. I loved the first half of inquisition. that first act was pretty fucking awesome, then the last act did NOTHING with anything the first 2 acts setup. very Mass effect 3 of them.

Only game I am excited about is Cyberpunk 2077

DA:I was much better than DA2 but it was even less like the first which is still by far the best in the series. Much like ME:A they went away from the story driven type of game with interesting characters that they built their reputation on and did more of a generic open world game with a weak story and shallow, cliched characters. In other words EA has sapped most of the creativity from Bioware and has them churning out standard "AAA" tripe.

The way things are going for the gaming industry Bioware will probably offer a collectors edition with a 6' Damascus Steel Gladius for $1000.00 and ship it with a 6" Damascus Steel Gladius letter opener...

You forgot to mention that they'll advertise that but the version that ships will actually be made of cheap tin with a pattern printed on it to make it look like damascus steel.

One of my favorite series, really looking to see how they continue the story and likely visit the Tevinter Imperium.

I really liked the first dragon age although it had the exact same bioware game formula. I'm not even interested in finding out more about this one.
