Big thumbs up for the Hyper 212 Evo

Recently renewed my rig with a i5 3570k, but I waited on a heatsink, because I didn't have the funds.

Well, today my hyper 212 evo arrived. I just slapped in in my pc, went to bios, turned up the multiplier, and actually lowered the voltage, didn't fine tune it yet, and this is what I got.


From 3.4GHZ to 4.4GHZ at 1.17 volts.

BIG thumbs up.

Yep, I have a 212+ with Bitfenix Spectre Pros in push/pull on an FX8120 and it really is a wonderful cooler for not much scratch. I imagine the EVO is probably even a little better.

Can you just slap one in a pc? I have the previous model and it was a freaking pain in the ass to install.

Well, when you have a little cutout on the case so you don't have to take the motherboard out, slapping it in isn't all that hard

212 evo here @ 4.4 everything auto and it keeps it in the same range temp wise. Love it
