Better monitor than an LG 27GL850 for $450 or less?

I'm eyeing this monitor, and reviews say it's great but suffers from slightly low contrast ratio.
Is there a better monitor within the price of $450?

27" is my target size.

The ASUS TUF VG27AQ is better in just about every measurement. I have seen both displays and the difference in contrast is stark. Don't buy the Asus if you plan on using 60hz (consoles) though.

The LG offers faster response times but at the expense of picture quality. Depends on your usage habits

Thanks for the reply. Issue for me is that the Asus is 200 dollars more here for me.

TFTCentral rated the LG higher than the VG27AQ though, recommended vs just approved.
