Best Story

I'll definitely have to pick Secret of Mana as my favorite video game story. A close second would be the American FFIII (Japanese FFVI), followed by Chrono Trigger. Those SNES RPGs are the ultimate, IMO.

Another random game I just thought of that had a fun story was Interstate 76. Has anyone played this? :confused:

It's one of the few games which I can play through and still feel the same way I did when I first played it ten years ago.
 
Planescape: Torment had the best story. No console RPG comes even close to having a great a story as well as character development as Planescape: Torment.

KOTR also had an excellent story.

With the exceptions of FF7 and Chrono Trigger, I wouldn't consider those to be "the best" stories. Seems to me you never played any Bioware RPGs for the PC. Heck even D2 has a better story than all those listed.
 
Even though I only played through 1 of the 4 discs (disc #2 didn't work)...

The Legend of Dragoon.
