Best single slot card to replace 8800GT OC?

I've got a Shuttle system I built, which limits my ability to have a dual slot video card. The BFG 8800GT OC I have in it right now is doing fine, but I have the upgrade itch and am looking for the best single slot upgrade I can find. Problem is that I have no idea how today's cards stack up to something as old as the 8800GT.

Any suggestions on a replacement card?

if you can find it, the Galaxy GTX260, and if I remember, they showed off a single slot GTX 470.....cant remember for sure

remember, neither of these have really made it out to the public........I know there are some single slot 9800 GT's.....not much else I know

I have one of those single slot 9800 GT's here... it's the exact same thing as the 8800GT. Don't bother trying to upgrade with it. However, you could get a "green" edition 9800GT but that will just run cooler and use less power.

You'd be surprised, unless your really pushing the envelope a 8800GT still holds it's own. Wait and see if someone can do a GTX 460 in a single slot... That may actually be worth the upgrade.

If you have space a watercooled GTX 480...Expensive though. It is kind of odd that there havent been any serious single slot designs since the 9000 series...
