Need something right now to do powerpoints for class...
OpenOffice... Use their "Impress"
It can open and save PowerPoint compatible files and has most of the needed features.
If you click Pack, on the bottom, you can DL StarOffice which I like better than OO
ok, gonna try the star one, it can open and save powerpoint files right ??
able to answer my own question, thanks guys...
Wouldn't you have access to cheap or free versions of Office, being a student?
but free beats having to pay anything even if it is discounted
Take a look at Zoho.... it's completely web-based and free.
it wasn't me, it was my girl... She needed help, and the student version wasn't working properly, and I didn't have office installed on my pc, well, I did, but it was not 2k7, so, she managed to get it to work and save but after that it screwed up, I had to figure out how to get the .docx crap to become .doc, and then get a powerpoint that could save for the same as mspp...
I got it done, it worked great, thanks for the responses though
