So there seems to be some debate about how much power the high-power cable can provide? Some 300 some 450 and some 600?
Different power for different models and brands is making this a bit confusing.
Which power supplies are recommended for a 4090 specifically?
I'm looking for one between 1200-1600 watt.
Thanks in advance.

Also all the cable mod adapters I see only have 3x8pin to 16pin. Why not 4x6pin to 16 pin? Isn't the 4x8pin needed to get the full 600w for the 4090?

Bump? Are there no power supplies to buy? I can't find any good brands that are 1200w or higher? I really want the 1500w ones but there are no cables to buy that are 4x8pin ???

Also where are the 4x8pin adapters? I don't see any? Not even cablemod has them right?

Nevermind I just ordered a Seasonic GX 1200 ATX 3.0 power supply and it has the native 16pin connection. It's back ordered till January 31 so It'll be a couple weeks of patience.

FWIW I am using a Prime TX 1000 with a TR3 and a 4090 and it seems to manage both running simultaneously along with 4 Exos x16 drives, a dual port 10GbE NIC and a bunch of other stuff.
