I'm trying to spend around $200-300 on a new 22-24" monitor, and I'm not sure if I can get a decent one at that price range. It will not be my primary display, which is why I'm not going all out. I currently have an HP DV7TQE 17" notebook which comes with one of the better 17" notebook screens out. It's rated at 72% gamut, so a monitor with that level or higher would be ideal. I'm going to be using the monitor primarily for Adobe Lightroom photo editing.Secondary uses will be gaming and web browsing.

NEC MultiSync EA231WMI
If it's not going to be your primary display I recommend finding a CRT monitor.

Just pulled the trigger on 3 Dell U2311h's myself. After lots of looking it seems like the best in this price range for graphics work.

Are there any other good IPS monitors for photo editing besides the Dell u2311h and the NEC MultiSync EA231WMI?

Any good 24" 1080p IPS monitors?

Someone already answered your question however this is a 16:10 monitor not 16:9.

Yes, I am aware that the hpzr24w is a good 24" IPS monitor. However, it is not between $200-$300. So, are there any good 24" IPS monitors in the $200-$300 range (presumably this would be a 16:9 monitor)?

why u consider the HP Zr24W than U2311H ?

The dell is better in all, the ZR24W have same colors or worst, low contrast ratio, slower in games, the only advantages is the 16.10 format that is a dead format, the standard is 16:9 now !
200€ of dell vs 360€ of HP only for the format + lower quality ? i dont think that it's a good idea.
