I just got a MBP, and I use it in my programming class and some other classes. I was wondering what some good note taking programs are. I like things to be able to have multiple tiers (like with bullets) and the ability to link different sections together would be nice. I've been using the OmniOutliner, which seems pretty good, but I still haven't learned how to do everything in it. Are there other built in programs or tools in office or iwork for this?

I personally use Notebook from CircusPonies. I love it, and it makes a cool "book" of your notebook. It is the closest thing to a pure college notebook on the computer. Simple, has tabs, and works great.

Also look at Yojimbo from barebones (BBEDIT fame) and Mori.

I usually just go into Word and change he view to Notebook layout. Works pretty well for me.
