Best cooler for my ati x850xt and pe?

i need the best coolers for my x850xt pe and my friends x850xt...we both have dual slot coolers, whats the best? and how much will it reduce my temps by?

One of the Zalman VF700 will be best. Not sure about temps as I dont have a x850 BUT look in my sig to see my load temps. Before the Zalman load was about 85-90c and thats at stock(350mhz) speed.

thats a nice drop...20degrees...my x850xt pe goes to around 70-80(when oc'ed), and i want to drop it down to around 50....

also i dont want watercooling

I was thinking about getting an aftermarket cooler and found this review.

Recently put a Zalman on my X850 PE, it dropped the temps from 45idle 80load to 35idle 59load....thats with the card OC'ed to 606/630. Most impressive i reckon.

I got the Fatal1ty edition fan which apparently spins at a higher (read louder) rpm in 12v mode but i'd say its pretty much the same as the VF700-CU except it cost a couple of quid more, but hey..its different .

So...long story short....get a Zalman!!!


Anyone know how the X850XT PE handles the full retail version of FEAR? Im playing the demo at 1280x1024 with max everything noAF noAA no Soft Shadows and it runs and looks brilliant. Any differences....

yeh i run it easily with my x850xt pe @ stock...u can run everything on maximum @1280x1024 with 2aa/16af...but no soft shadows

Im from the UK so dont know where its good to buy from if your in America.

It pretty much the same as the VF700-Cu but the heatsinks are all red, the fan spins faster (higher rpm), and its got red LEDs on it...what can i say...i like the bling
