Hey all. I got a santa rose MacBook pro with the 2.4 c2d and 4 gigs ram. I am going to put my current 500gig drive in the optical bay, wanted to know the best $200ish ssd I can get for osx and a bootcamp win7 64bit. I will be using the boot drive for basic programs and what not, with the 500 for games and what not.

Also does osx support trim and stuff, will trim work ok in a dual boot setup?

Thanks
Bob

Well. If I can get a good 120ish gig one I would like that; otherwise, the bigest I can get with a $200ish budjet where it is still fast.

FYI pArt of the reason I am asking is cause as far as I can find everyone says get the intel ssd's still. But I also heard that a few ssd's cause issue with re way bootcamp works?

I have the X25-M and it works well in with my MBP. I advice putting it in the optibay instead of regular slot due to the vibration of mechanical drives. Though I run my boot camp on the slower drive instead. To be warned, you will have very hard time installing boot camp without internal optical drive and/or installing it on another drive other the one OS X is on.
