Per subject. Those damn newegg lanfest banners shoot my cpu utilization up to 100% and make my mp3s skip.

It's a celly 366@550, integrated 810 graphics (yes, crapola).

Grabbed adshield from IceCzars freeware link/list. Seems to work ok.

Proxomitron. It kills banners, pop ups, blinking text, exploits, marquees, 'no right click', window resizers, status bar obfuscaters, link obfuscaters and so forth. Plus it's free and works with any browser.

It is always a good idea to disable flash. I have no use for it and it just slows my browser down. Especially that stupid fucking fan on vhforums. It is worthless and the pages load so much faster without it. Sorry, I don't know how to disable it with ie, but it is easier than fuck with firefox+adblock.

edit: This might help.
edit again: I was trying to find out if proxomitron is able to block flash(i'm thinking it can) and I found out that it is no longer being developed! That is sad. For the longest time proxomitron was the only thing keeping me sane.

how, said the nOOb.

- Load IE
- Go to tools/internet options
- Click on the "Settings" button
- Click the "View Objects" button
- Click "Shockwave/Flash" object
- Click Delete

I believe that should work.
