I've been having trouble lately with burning DVDs, sometimes when i first start a
new burn in nero i will get a calibration error. If i exit nero and try again it usually
works, but some times after the burn is finished it won't be able to write the Lead
out track, resulting in a coaster. I'm starting to think that the ASPI drives are losing
communication with my burner. I'm fairly sure it not a hardware problem since i
have tried all the latest firmware for my burner, and i've analyzed the disks with
kprobe and they are very good quality.

Right now i'm using force ASPI, but i want to try something else, are the apdaptec
ASPIs good? What do you think?

ForceASPI uses Adaptec's ASPI layer, so getting ASPI from Adaptec most likely wont make a difference. I like ForceASPI myself. Try getting this file see if that helps. Check here for help with ASPI layers (where the fix came from).

And most definitely flash your firmware.
