I am looking to setup a 24 drive norco box.
My google results are all 2 or 3 years old. Whats the best bang for your buck these days?
Mostly media. Nothing heavy.
Also if i populate this with 8tn or even 10tb drives.. Can windows see the full drive or whats the cap?

Thanks

I havent went with LSI 9211-8i + HP SAS Expander in my couple systems and third system is getting similar at the end and has been working flawlesly for many years.. Expanders are dirt cheap.. also u can get those sas cards cheap and there is different cards what u can use :)
One other way is to buy case where is expander in it so u will only need one 2 port card.. Like https://www.xcase.co.uk/collections/4u-rackmount-cases/products/424-ex-pro

I am using max 8 tibbers in my systems and been working fine :)

Just fyi only because you mentioned it, you can sort google results by date

Norco and Supermicro cases are the most popular I think.
If you use such big drives (8TB+), make sure to have enough parity.. (double disk failure during the long rebuild)
