Best 144hz monitor for gaming?

The cheap options use TN panels while the Eizo FG2421 uses a VA panel, but its quality control is non-existent (it's pretty much guaranteed to have a bunch of obvious issues) and it's overpriced anyway. All of the cheap (300$ range) 144hz TN panels use LED PWM Dimming aside from those made by BenQ and the LG 24GM77 which has much better colours and contrast (its matte grey bezel vastly increases the perceived black depth compared to matte and glossy black bezels) than the rest. LED PWM Dimming ruins motion clarity (example) and makes some people suffer from health issues like head aches and eyestrain (more information). The Acer GN246HL has abysmal colour presets, suffers from obvious overshoot ghosting and uses PWM along with the Asus VG248QE which also has poor colours and contrast, so at least buy a BenQ XL2411Z if you want to save money.

Best TN for blur reduction with console and variable framerate locked gaming at different refresh rates (e.g. 91 hz (call of duty), 60 FPS (consoles, arcade emulators, fps locked console ports): XL2720Z with V4 firmware and "lightboost" hidden AMA high mode (enable motion blur reduction, toggle or move AMA to high, reduce contrast to 0-15). Applies to XL2720Z only, does not apply to 24" models. Does not work with blur reduction off.
Best monitor for lowest overdrive ghosting and tweaking of overdrive gain in Lightboost mode (service menu OD gain setting)? VG248QE.
Best screen for "overall" image quality with gsync and some blur reduction (ULMB): Acer XB270HU.
Best TN for overall colors, non lightboost blur reduction (limited) and decent overdrive? LG.24GM77

This. and at this point you want a monitor for gaming you have to get some kind of adaptive sync. it's great man. i say go with the rog swift. i know everybody pumps up the acer and for good reason but if you really want to game on your pc go with the swift. and if you have amd go with the benq XL2730. I almost went with that one myself.
Still ghosts is why I don't like it.
...And so does every LCD.
If you wish to eliminate ghosting, turn on the strobing backlight feature. The feature functions 100% the same as the Asus PG278Q but is only capable of going up to 100hz, as opposed to 144hz.
Furthermore, the pixel response on the Acer is quite good at 144hz with no noticeable overshoot (normal OD). Pursuit camera tests of the Acer.
