BenQ E2400HD or V2400W ?

Hey man I read your posts from other threads, you seem very knowledgable.

Could you please explain briefly why you say the V2400W is better, than the new line of models that just came , the E2200HW and E2400HD ?
 
My main purpose computer use is to deal with chart reading....lots of them in all shapes and colors. Picture....the charts you see in the stock market..thats what I do.

At times, I need to look at alot of them so the more viewing space for me, the better.

So thats why I am either Considering 2 of the E2200HD or 1 x V2400W and maybe a second one sometime in the future....

I read your review ( i think) on the V2400W, i'm really lookin forward to the one on the E2200HD
 
Well let me rephrase my last post. I meant to say , either I get 1x V2400W ( 440$) and use my current dell 2005 FPW.

or I get 2x E2200HD, which will cost about 360$ total from NCIX.com and then I'll have 3 monitors...


So 2x E2200 or 1x V2400W ?

charts / fonts / images / games <~ in order of preference
 
Well just checked the V2400W is 340 on NCIX.com... so yeah evens out.

2x E2200HW for 340$

or 1x V2400W for 340
 
I'm in the same boat as you. I'm looking at the E2400HD and the V2400W. I'm going to be using it for PC gaming primarily and PS3 gaming/watching DVDs secondary.
 
E2200HD was awarded as the Bronze Editor's Prize, I would be willing to give it a try.

V2400W was also a very good monitor and search V2400W here you can find many good reviews. Both can be good choices and it all comes to what "size" you prefer. If you are in US, I would suggest you call NCIX before placing E2200HD order. I have read somewhere here saying that NCIX is an Canadian store and they don't actually ship to US or something like that.

NCIXusa.com has the

E2200HD for 177$
E2400HD for 280$
V2400W for 340$
 
I just called them. they said they accept visa/mastercard and ship out to any US states just fine using FedEx.

Fedex also only ships to the lower 48 states and does not ship to Hawaii or Alaska.
 
Well right now I use a 20.1 inch Dell 2005 FPW, but for the stuff i do on my computer, i need more room, so it would be cool if I could either have 3 monitors, by getting dual E2200s or get an extra V2400W lets say...however quality / clarity of images / texts and occasionaly games, come into effect as well.
 
If I was to get two to set up side by side, I would want two 16:10 monitors. Two 16:9s would just feel "too wide." That's just my opinion.
 
I'm personally leaning towards the V2400W for the simple reason of resolution. It is 1900x1200 for the V2400W vs 1920x1080 for the E2400HD. All else being equal (and they both seem to be good TNs), I would prefer more vertical space for reading Internet, documents, etc.

The only way I'd go for the E2400HD is if the primary use of the monitor was for video games / movies.
 
I would agree,

I am fooling around with an M2400HD right now (E2400HD with web cam) and I just don't feel the same about it as I do the V2400W.

- V2400W has better color calibration. I know they are TNs but truer colors are truer colors.
- V2400W has more vertical rez.
- V2400W is better built and feels more solid.
- V2400W seems to have better quality over HDMI with consoles. I'm investigating this, but it looks that way right now.

I would say the only advantage the E2400HD has:

- Bigger dot pitch
- speakers
- VESA mount on the back
- Doesn't have an off-set stand
- 480P
- Slightly better with HDMI cable boxes (due to speakers and slightly better processing)

Thanks for everyone's input. I just ordered my V2400W. $377 US from ncixusa using paypal. after the cheapest shipping and $5 insurance.
