Hello all, as title. I've set up a wireless network (for a work colleague) between a Belkin wireless router and a Belkin wireless usb chap. Everything works quite happily, most of the time.

The problem occurs when he logs out, or switches users, the usb chap loses connection to the network thereby making net access impossible. To fix this, he clicks on the Belkin icon in the taskbar and repairs the network. All is fine again.

The PC is protected using Norton Internet Security (dunno which version) I'm thinking that the firewall is preventing the router from renewing the IP address. Am I barking up the wrong tree here?

I had a similar problem with my own wireless network, leave the PC on all night and in the morning there was no internet access, a quick check of the firewall's log soon told me that the firewall was blocking the router. I added the router's IP address to the firewall's trusted zone and all is well again.

Any assistance on this would be greatly received!
TIA.
