Battlefield 1 has many African soldiers

Yeah, this is a sensitive topic, but it kind of weird how Africans are disproportionately represented in a game set in WWI.

The weirdest addition is the German army scout is black.

Even weirder? I'm pretty sure that most soldiers in Battlefield 3 were white in MP play, and today in fact black soldiers are very much over-represented in the composition of the modern army. In fact, black and Latino soldiers are probably underrepresented in Battlefield 3, modern call of duty games, and so on.

But for some reason, DICE decided to make for a heavy and inaccurate African representation in a game set in the European theatre of WWI.

Yeah. They should have made them an elite class or power up. I forget the name of that group. Hellcats?

Africans did serve Germany in WW1. Perhaps you've heard of German East Africa, the Askaris, and von Lettow-Vorbeck? But they didn't serve in Europe.
