The release of the awaited sequel to Arkham Asylum will be Tuesday October 18th, but if you are living in and around New York City, specifically near Times Square, you have the chance to pick up the sequel a day early from Toys R Us. The store will be selling 500 copies of Arkham City to lucky early buyers.

Too bad PC gamers still have to wait that extra month.

Great... this means next Monday to get out of my office I need to wade through a see of pimple-faced lonesomes with nothing better to do than spend half their day waiting to play a video game a couple hours early. Hopefully, the noxema-scented dust will be settled by the time I leave. Screw these events.

Nice, I thought I was going to wait till Nov. for my free game.

Did you happen to notice you have 2,000 posts on a tech and gaming enthusiast forum?

Well, it is at toysRus.... the guy has a point LOL, but yeah..... asinine assumption and generalization type of comment there dude!

I mean... if you say something like that I have this to say..... Personally, I think if you go to buy this nerdy batman game within 12 hours of its release you are HIGHLY LIKELY (90% sure or more) to be a "pimple faced lonesome" or something very similar :D

Or you might just be that rarely seen 1% of game buyers who are just a slightly nerdy normal dudes :D I fit in that pretty much, never really had pimples and all that shit lol.... but I def won't be buying this game or any game until I see some real gameplay.

My household thinks Noxema is seksthy...

I'm happy to just my free game earlier than expected. If the game plays similiar to the first, it'll be worth wasting some time on this winter.

Error on the front page it says

I think you mean Arkham City the new game. I'm sure toys "R" us has been selling arkham asylum for quite some time

if i wwas done in NYC, i would be at Occupy Wall street instead of this silly game

If you line up for one of these games more than 15 minutes in advance, then I laugh at you

Too bad? An extra month wait is a blessing anymore. Games that don't get that extra time usually come out looking like terrible console ports.

What exactly are you expecting? The game is built with Unreal Engine for consoles. The console sales will be high, and making the pc gamer crowd wait a month is only to entice the impatient to add to the console sales. Hell, when Arkham Asylum came out with the gimped options for AMD users, people bought the console version, then bought the steam version after Rocksteady said sorry and fixed it.

8 more days! This is the most anticipated game for me since Final Doom. This will be a day 1 buy for me.
