Bought it off from a friend including his whole setup, sn41g2.
Is it a good one? I have oc to 11x185. Board only stays at the 11 multi.

Go check out the database at overclockers.com. It is the best resource to see what the common overclock out of a stepping is.

Week 40 and below are the ones that are unlocked yours reads as week 24, you should be able to OC that thing pretty nicely. Remember your setup may hold you back( memory wise that is)

It's an OK stepping, maybe 2500MHz or so if you are lucky.
With that board don't expect too much though, ram will limit you at high fsbs so go get a nforce2 this baby will do 12.5x200 easy with enough juice.

thats the same stepping the 2500+ in my sig is. (it's @ 210FSB now...gotta update my sig sometime...)

thanks for the reply. Using it on my SN41G which is a nforce 2 mobo. Unfortunately, dont have a setting to change multi so its stuck at 11.

Limiting is my ram? What a good one to replace it with? LMK. Thanks.

There are no "good" or "bad" steppings, although myth-believers like to think so. Every CPU has unique overclocking properties, but the general rule is that the newer its week/stepping, the more overclocking potential it has.
