this makes me want to buy WoW again......i played for a month last summer and quit before it took over my life too completely........now im getting urges I CANT EXPLAIN!

crack addict!

Honestly I think WoW is just a distraction to keep people with lackluster lives docile while the upper class keeps giving them a rogering (sp?)

oh and my guild is in the top 10 worldwide, was one of the first 20 members in exodia originally skullcrusher and then moved to smolderthorn, I quit when school started (I had 6 months of just working and WoWing due to school transfer and going from semesters to quarters didn't work out well) quit on the C'thun attempts on AQ40. I don't see much appeal to the game, at the end I farmed gear to kill a boss or else I had to wait for blizzard to water down the boss so that the guild could do it. The evidence for this is once one guild does it 10 more do it in the next 24 hours. The game was amazingly fun going to 60 and raiding was fun at first, but I miss finding epic items like the hand cannon and running around winnin 2v1. There was definetely a golden age and having full tier1 before most people even had an epic made for a lot of fun when the PVP system first came out.

It's just a rant, but I drop any game as soon as playing texas hold em' becomes more fun (and so far more lucrative, positive $500 right now altho I have swung to -$400 at one point, big swings ><)

oh this reminds me of when 50 starting with my guild and then other people joined made a bunch of female pink haired gnomes and attacked a level 60 horde in the marshes, and just kept res'ing and attacking him, and he did go down after about 45 minutes , that was kind of cool

Diablo, Diablo2 and WOW all have something in common, their "Golden Age".
There is a period of time, usually the first couple of weeks or month or two when the game comes out that it is truly a wonderful way to spend your hard earned time and money. And then it goes straight to the crapper.
At some point it goes from a great game to just an addictive game. I have been sticking to NWN(2), not as great a game and not as addictive but I avoid that all consuming desire for ever greater items to make my character even more powerful but in the end failing because some uber nerd who lives with his mom plays 23 hours a day and no matter what I do I will never catch up.
No offense to anyone, played them all enough to decide that Blizzard does what they do great but it ain't for me.
Great video though, reminds me why I don't want to go back.

LOL funny like you start with how WoW is for people with lucklister lives and then you go on talking about how you're a WoW pro....

on topic: Holy crap I didn't know people write actual songs about WoW hehe... I love it.

You're going to run into that with any game. With any game, you'll never catch up to the "uber nerd who lives with his mom and plays 23 hours a day", because if it isn't him having more gear than you in an MMO, he's the one with perfect aim and reflexes in UT or knows every map and sniping spot like the back of his hand in BF.

I do agree eery game has its golden age...

my favorite all time online game ,battlefield 1942, had its golden age... wich was near the release of desert combat 0.5 i think.

Absolutely fantastic. I've sworn never to shoot up a syringe full of WoW, but i've spent many an hour on Diablo 2 and seen that kind of thing happen. :D

Who were you? I was a Skullcrusher to Smolderthorn player too. I was Imptar from Rage and NA.

Red Dog Red Dog! Casualty count is HIGH! lol. The good days. Used to play at work against the rest of the techs 8 hours straight.

I wish I could see this video, but it's websensed from here. (the google translate trick doesn't work on websense btw)

funny but this video doesn't make sense. I don't play wow but I know that a level 1 person can't wear level 60 gear. Also they can't ride a mount too.

Great video. The song sounds like the johnny cash song "A boy named sue".

great video thanks.
havent played wow in close to a year now, just installed it again today to get all the patches in order, fresh start on the 16th,cant wait:)
