Looks like we have another bad WU on our hands here. I was out running some errands and noticed that this work unit had EUE's twice at 0%. I am dumping it right now as it has EUE'd again.

Sad to see this is still an ongoing issue. /sigh

On the plus side, I got a chance to dump an unwanted work unit(2684) :D

The bad news is that it took 3 EUE's at 0%, at which point I deleted the work directory, deleted queue.dat, and changed machine numbers to make sure it wouldn't try to download it a 4th time.

I thought all 2684's were bad work units ;)

changed machine numbers to make sure it wouldn't try to download it a 4th time.

for some reason this made me think "no, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time"

It's too late and I've been reading too much textbook.

Just deleted it twice off my SR-2 box.
The second time, I changed the Machine ID.
So hopefully I won't get it a third time.

Luck ......... :D
[H] <- still need to fix the badges.

*crosses fingers*

havent had a bad unit since the last big thread...

It has now been marked as Bad, if anyone else gets a FRESH download of this WU plz let me know and i will pass it onto FF

even if they work right the ppd is terrible on them...

I have one of those units on a dual 2.8 ghz i7 quad system and a better unit on a dual 2ghz machine that doesn't have ht.... the low end cruncher is getting 6k ppd more...

16 threads @ 2.8ghz 6kppd lower than 8 threads at 2...

I just got this WU.
/edit I probably got it hours ago, so not a fresh download - sorry.
/edit 2 - I lost the log when I deleted the WU, but my prior upload completed at 17:07 UTC Feb 17.

mine are from the 15th less than 4 hours left on them...

I wonder if marking this as a bad wu only applies to window client... I have picked up and ditched a number of these on the beta linux client...

Any news on when that linux client is available? I would be very interested in running this in a linux vm and that's coming from someone who doesn't have to worry about licensing costs (bizspark ftw).

nope no news... but if your a hardcore folder and dont mind giving feedback and helping others... apply for the beta team...

I just got this one also on a server I was testing...failed at 0% right after it started.

This unit is apparently still on the loose as of this morning...wish i would have caught it before my 970 sat idle all day... :(

My L5640 caught one today. I know it has been marked as bad according to Bruce @ FF but when is this WU going to go away?

ditto...I did what I could to fend them off thursday...
but whatever finished units yesterday could have picked up good units or that one.... ugh...
