Since I will be replacing all my sub 1TB drives in whs server, I would like to use those drives to backup my whole primary whs server. Is this possible? Can I install connector software on whs itself? I remember Ockie stating somewhere on this forums that he has 2 whs machine and one is mirrored copy of other.

I believe Ockie mirrored his manually. You cannot install the connector software on a machine running WHS.

Ah I see. So no real option for backing up shares on whs? What if I mount/map whs shares as drives on my 24/7 machine (win7) and then back it up with other whs machine? Can whs backup network mapped drives?

I thought Ockie was running BDBB, or some such, to automate WHS-to-WHS backups.
