I have a Synology NAS that I am planning on using as storage for our Windows Server 2012 backups and have a couple questions:
1) I thought I remembered reading that if you are going to use the built in Server 2012 backup that connecting the NAS as an iscsi lun was the way to go, correct?
2) If I create a iscsi target on my NAS, it has to be created separate from the main volume on the NAS? Meaning that I cannot just use all the space and allocate it to the main volume because that would leave no storage space for the iscsi target.
I think that is what I could use some clarification on for now, thanks.
